Catch the wind, let the sea air blow around your nose, sail across the seas or from island to island in the sensational Ocean Beauty yacht from Ugears. This sailboat wooden kit is a wonderful static model with two bright white paper sails, which has its own sturdy stand to put it on your shelf or desk. This model is a little different from other mechanical Ugears models because the yacht has no gears and no spring or rubber band motor to power it. Rather, it is intended more as a nice decorative element for home or office.
The DIY wooden yacht model has a curved mainsail with a swinging boom and a jib, both attached to a tall mast with sails for the starboard and port shrouds. A railing of stays and ship's rope runs around the deck. Two life rings and an anchor add to the yacht's realistic appearance. On the stern is a flagpole for flying your ship's flag - just leave the paper flag white, paint it or stick it with a sticker with the national flag or the flag of the yacht club you like best.
This wooden 3D yacht puzzle features a large command bridge with rotating dual steering wheel (with Ugears, there just always has to be some part that moves!) and an open transom to allow water to run off if the stern wave or aft sea catches you, or if you drive the bow into a high wave and the water flows over the deck. The open transom is also ideal for jumping into the water from the stern for a swim, and it makes it easy to get in and out of the dinghy, which is towed behind the yacht on a rope (included). The dinghy is equipped with oar holders and oars and if you want you can put a small figure in it (not included). There is also a surfboard that can be towed behind the yacht, just for fun or in case you encounter the Great Break near shore.
The Ocean Beauty decorative yacht includes a sturdy stand that the boat can be placed on and pulled out of by simply pushing it. To mount the yacht securely, simply slide it forward so that the keel snaps into the slot in the stand. If you want to admire the model up close, all you have to do is pull it out backwards to release it from the stand.
