The IS-7 is a prototype of a Soviet heavy tank. The model was originally called Object 260 and was designed and manufactured at the Kirov factory in Leningrad. Eventually it was to become the successor of the not very successful IS-4. Unfortunately it did not pass the field tests. The development of the model was stopped by political games at the highest levels of power in the USSR. A characteristic feature of the model was the so-called pike nose - characteristic armour plates were supposed to facilitate the bouncing of shells. The four-stroke diesel engine M-50, which had previously been used in large quantities in Soviet torpedo boats, was used as propulsion. The excellent driving characteristics were achieved at the expense of enormous fuel consumption. New was a fire protection system in the engine compartment, which could be used up to three times. The S-70 cannon was mounted on the cast, streamlined turret.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the launch of World of Tanks, COBI and Wargaming prepared a special set. The granite tank IS-7 with a characteristic camouflage. The set is completed by a special player figure with an anniversary print on the upper body. The player is equipped with a laptop with anniversary logo and headphones. The model of the IS-7 tank, which is made entirely of COBI bricks, has many moving elements such as opening hatches, the moving barrel of a weapon or rotating wheels and chains. The advantage of the set, which consists of up to 844 elements, is a very solid construction that faithfully reflects the original shapes of its historical prototype. The tank was covered with high quality prints which do not wear out even with intensive use. This realistic model is perfectly suited as an indispensable tool for World of Tanks fans, but can also be a unique item from any collection of an adult military fan.
