The USS Wahoo (SS-238) was a Gato-class submarine in the US Navy that became famous for its involvement in the fighting in the Pacific during World War II. Historical sources claim to have sunk 20 Japanese ships. It was 95.02 meters long and 8.31 meters wide. The crew of the USS Wahoo consisted of 80 commanders and seamen. It was sunk on October 11, 1943 and the wreck was later discovered on October 31, 2006. It is often referred to as a single submarine wolf pack because of its efficiency and valor.
