The Concorde was the first supersonic passenger aircraft in scheduled service. It was operated from 1976 to 2003. The flight time on its most important routes across the Atlantic between Paris or London and New York was about 3 to 3.5 hours, about half the time of modern subsonic aircraft, and its flight altitude was up to 18,000 m (60,000 ft). The operators were British Airways and Air France from entry into service until the end.
