B-17F Flying Fortress "Pretty from Memphis"
Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress is an American heavy long-range bomber aircraft developed by the American airline Boeing Airplane Company. This is one of the most popular bombers that served the Allies in World War II. In many actions even several hundred of such machines took part at the same time and caused powerful so-called carpet attacks. It was heavily armed with a deck weapon, which was the inspiration to call it a "flying fortress".
Flying Fortress is the largest building block model COBI has ever released. It has moving elements such as wheels, ailerons, guns and propellers. Below the deck there is an opening hatch from which the bombs included in the set fall out. The plane is equipped with high quality prints, which do not wear out even during intense fun. Stickers were completely omitted in this set. The prints reflect the painting of the plane from the wartime. The cabin has a "Mascot of Memphis" print especially prepared for this occasion.
This is a very comprehensive model that will work equally well in any collection of aviation or history enthusiasts. Younger Noppenstein fans can also play with it thanks to its durable and solid construction. The perfect reproduction of details and the construction from building blocks that do not need to be glued or painted are certainly the great advantages of this product. A special exclusive pilot figure with a mapped uniform is attached to the aircraft. The cap has a printed emblem and a brown visor. The body has a uniform print with an emblem on the back. With this set the characteristic control head was used for the first time. The pilot is the perfect complement to this exclusive edition of the B17 Flying Fortress "Pretty Girl from Memphis" and a great pleasure for collectors.
