From the COBI building blocks you build a model of the legendary German aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. The model was designed in the standard scale of 1: 300. A record-breaking large kit of up to 3,130 bricks provides hours of exciting building and fun. The high quality prints used accurately reproduce the design of the WWII ship's deck and details. Prints do not wear out even with intense fun. For the first time, the COBI model has been designed to operate a lift directly in the aircraft deck. The button on the invisible underside of the hull allows you to raise and lower the lift with the aircraft placed on top. The model is accompanied by 5-block micro aeroplanes made in two colours. The Graf Zeppelin aircraft carrier can be displayed on the display stand attached to the set, which includes a sign with the model's name and scale. This advanced and exclusive set is sure to satisfy naval, history and modelling fans young and old. Graf Zeppelin is the only aircraft carrier in German history. Construction began on 28 December 1936 in Kiel. At the request of Adolf Hitler, work was stopped in 1943 despite construction progress of over 90%. This was due to the withdrawal of all large ships after the Battle of the Barents Sea. The carrier was towed to Stettin, where useful equipment was dismantled. Construction was never completed. Fearing the progress of the Red Army, the carrier was partially sunk and shelled by artillery in early 1945. In the summer of 1945, the raised and temporarily sealed ship was absorbed into the USSR Navy. However, it did not qualify for refurbishment. In 1947, it served as a target ship and was sunk in the Baltic Sea. In 2006, the wreck of the ship was located 55 km north of Vladyslavovo. It rests at a depth of 87 m.
